Our amazingly unique Fire&Ice-Spicy Ice Wine Relish is more than just a 'hot sauce'. Made with Jamaican hot peppers, Jalapeño and yellow hot peppers you will savour all the spicy layers with notes of sweetness coming through from the Niagara Region Ice Wine. The sweetness used as well to tone down the heat, is the cold pressed apple cider from a local farm in Ancaster, ON. The Fire&Ice can be used as a condiment, as an antipasto or as a flavour enhancer to any meal you want to kick up a notch in heat, while appreciating the layered flavours making their way through any dish you serve. Once opened, this sauce can last up to 4-6 months in the fridge because of the natural preservatives found in the EVVO, the Ice Wine and the apple cider and the apple cider vinegar, always remember to take it out, wait a couple minutes to get it to room temperature and give it a good shake to fuse all the flavours together. Fire & Ice Cheesy Mushroom pops Ingredients: 15-20 good sized cremini mushrooms • 1-8oz package of cream cheese (room temp) • La Dee Da Spicy fire & Ice Gourmet Ice wine relish • Aged Cheddar of choice (recommend Red Fox Leicester cheese) • shredded panko crust • butter NOTE: the night before you want to serve these gems prepare your filling: Soften 1 package of cream cheese Add, three heaping table spoons of La Dee Da Spicy Fire and Ice relish mix together well and refridgerate over night When you are ready to stuff mushrooms, remove mixture and let sit at room temp for approx 1 hour preheat stove to 350 degrees core out mushrooms and gently pat them down with moist paper towel (do not wash) gently rub the bottom of the mushrooms with butter and scoop a heaping tablespoon approx 1-1.5 oz into each mushroom place on parchment paper lined baking dish sprinkle each mushroom with shredded cheddar and top with a pinch of panko crust bake for approx 18-20 minutes or until mushrooms have turned slight in colour Serve on platter with a small dish of Fire&Ice on the side for the daredevils who love spicy food! NOTE: Alcohol has been boiled down so there is 0% alcohol content
