These mixes are low in sodium (only organic no-salt seasoning is used) leaving you in the driver's seat with your sodium intake, while also providing you with a source of fiber and vegetable protein. Our soup mixes are designed vegetarian and vegan, with no preservatives or additives added and are crock-pot friendly.  Papa's New England Style Baked Beans compliment any meal and even freeze well.  Makes 9 cups. 

To make:   1 cup ketchup 2 cups boiling water 3 Tbsp. molasses 2 tsp. cider vinegar 5 - 6 slices bacon cut into small pieces (optional) 1 Package Papa’s New England Style Baked Beans Mix 1. Remove brown sugar packet and set aside. Place beans in bowl; cover with water. Soak beans overnight. Drain beans then place in large saucepan cover with cold water and boil until beans are soft (about 11/2 - 2 hours). Drain beans and place in Crock-Pot. 2. In a medium size bowl combine ketchup, boiling water, molasses, cider vinegar and contents of brown sugar packet. Mix thoroughly and add to beans in crock-pot. 3. Cover and cook on low for 10 - 12 hours.

As a working mother of four, with three boys in hockey, and a daughter in competitive gymnastics, I often found that there just wasn’t enough time to prepare a healthy nutritional meal before heading out the door. Like so many other women, I was a mom on the run!

But what I really loved about preparing legume soups was how easy and convenient they were to prepare. So now that my kids are older, I want to give back what I learned and have fun while I am doing it.
