100% pure Canadian extra virgin sunflower oil. Produced by a 4th generation Canadian farm family, our oils are pressed fresh daily with passion and pride. Why you'll love our Virgin Cold Pressed Sunflower Oil: As a kid we all remember eating sunflower seeds, and our favourite part, spitting out the shells. Remembering the flavour of the seed, and sitting in the summer sunshine is how we think about our Virgin Cold Pressed Sunflower Oil. The flavour, aroma and colour of our oils comes from the provenance of the seed we use to press our oils. Our virgin pressed oil is great in cooking, or in raw applications. Tip: For maximum benefit store at room temperature, away from heat in the refrigerator or a dry dark place. Be sure to try our sunflower oil in a homemade aioli, the flavour cant be beat. Sunflower Scallion Aioli 2 large egg yolks 1 small garlic clove, finely grated ½ tsp kosher salt plus more 1 cup Pristine Gourmet Pristine Gourmet Virgin Cold Pressed Sunflower Oil Pinch of cayenne pepper Fresh lemon juice Freshly ground black pepper 2 scallions, dark and light green parts only, very finely chopped Place 2 egg yolks, minced garlic, salt and 1 tbsp water in the bowl of a food processor. With the motor running, slowly drizzle in sunflower oil and process until a thick, luxurious spread forms. Add cayenne, lemon juice and black pepper and pulse just to combine. Scrape out of processor bowl and fold in scallions.
