The rich and deep flavours created by pairing caramelized citrus peels and roasted garlic with premium olives and infused, extra virgin olive oil gives our Twisted Tapenades the versatility to elevate countless culinary creations. The velvety texture and buttery flavour partners symphonically with artisanal breads, on sandwiches, pasta, pizza, eggs and in soups and salad dressings. Each jar is 120ml. 

Recipe: Spicy Kalamata Penne

Saute half a zucchini, half a diced onion and a few sliced mushrooms in olive oil at a medium low temperature. 
When the vegetables are nearly cooked add one clove of minced garlic, a jar of Three Sisters' Kitchen Kalamata Twisted Tapenade and some fresh basil and stir for three minutes at medium temperature.
Mix in a jar of your favourite store bought tomato sauce (or make your own if you're feeling adventurous).
Add a bag of penne cooked slightly andante to the sauce pan with some freshly ground pepper.
Serve with garlic bread and salad for a delectable meal. 

One beautiful sunny day in the early Fall of 2009 we visited with friends for lunch and conversation. On the table, were the most intriguing-looking olives. They were pitted and shrivelled, dark and mysterious. The taste was superb and the texture (I am a real texture girl)--OUTSTANDING! These olives were one of a kind from a little hole-in-the-wall Mom and Pop (Bubby and Zaide) shop in a neighbourhood in Jerusalem known as, Geula (which literally means, Redemption). They were sold in tiny jars on a shelf behind the counter (for those in the know), at a price disproportionate to the economy. Every week we would save our shekels for our jar of coveted olives until one day...they were gone!!! (insert horror movie soundtrack here)

We were sorely missing our weekly treat when it dawned on me, out of the blue, that I was certain I could duplicate our precious olives. We began working with a recipe that evolved and matured into a dish quite different from, yet reminiscent of, our "Redemption Olives".

Almost every week, for many years, when we lived in Jerusalem and now living in Toronto, we share our dining room table with many guests--young, old, family, friends and strangers. And almost every week we serve up our very famous olives. We became known for them in our circle of friends and community. Our reputation preceded us. As agreeable as we are to sharing our recipes, our olives were our one culinary secret. We wanted people coming back for more; craving our company and our olives. We also, half jokingly, claimed that we were going to bring our olives to the world market.

Today, after years of experimentation and recipe development we are finally bringing the best of our best to you and your tables. We encourage you to share these fabulously unique, gourmet foods with friends, family and strangers. We embolden you to use these products to reach out and immerse yourself in meaningful conversations and deepened relationships. Our goal is to enliven the tongue to speak kind words and the heart to open to new and unexpected experiences and relationships.

Three Sisters' Kitchen was created after the passion for feeding people that our whole family shares. And while it would be difficult to fit,'Three Sisters, Two Brothers, three amazing children and two Awesome Parents' on a jar, it has really been our whole family that has shown us how powerful the dining room table can be for endless connections and conversations.
