Description

This gift collection includes,

Organic Masala Chai Black Tea // Genuine Tea (Toronto, ON). With travels to plantations across Asia and a wealth of tea knowledge under their belts, founders Sara WIlcoxx and David O'Connor (a certified tea sommelier) returned to Canada to share their love of tea with others. Today, Genuine Tea specializes in high-quality, loose-leaf teas sourced from around the world. They proudly support mental health and wellness, giving back 1% of all proceeds to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

Gingerbread Pancake & Waffle Mix // Muff & Co (Montreal, QC). Founder Sandra is the driving force behind the company, testing more than 275 batches of muffin mix in the kitchen, researching the best suppliers, and also working as a nurse in the intensive care unit of a Montreal hospital. Her mixes are assembled by hand into compostable bags.

Hazelnut, Dark Chocolate & Maple Spread // Allo Simonne (Montreal, QC). Founders Vincent and Quentin came together in 2017 to start their sweet, chocolatey journey by crafting their own sweets and treats they could share with the world. Allo Simonne is named after Quentin’s grandmother, who is the reason they have such a love for food and chocolate! The brand donates 1% of online sales to local charities.

Traditional Maple Syrup 200ml // Wabanaki Maple (Tobique First Nations). Wabanaki is a female-led, Indigenous- owned business that operates in Negotkuk (Tobique First Nation). Using 100% New Brunswick made maple syrup, they harvest, boil and refine with techniques dating back generations. The resulting flavour is truly “a taste of our land’s cultural fabric.” Proceeds from sales support the reforestation and revitalization of local communities and their forests.

Chocolate Snowflake Pop // Chocolat Boreal (Montreal, QC). After attending professional cooking school in France, as well as various positions in pastry and catering in France, Luxemburg and the United States, chef Ludovic immigrated to Quebec. From Day 1, his chocolate company has sourced its ingredients locally and from other businesses that are sustainably-focused. They also donate a portion of profits to local charities and support tree planting initiatives in Quebec.

Each gift collection includes a story guide describing the small businesses and how they give back, and a Lerners-branded note card with your personal message.
